ð–¹ Classmate Critique Camera Shots! ð–¹

I reviewed two of my classmate's camera shots from the previous week. Overall, they were well put together and the purpose they served to evoke emotion was executed correctly.

First, I reviewed my classmate, Tatiana Byczkowski. Her camera shot, which was my favorite, was the POV shot! I was watching the point of view of Tati waking up through her eyes. The camera shot evoked an emotion of vulnerability as the shot was of Tati waking up which gave a vulnerable mood, it also allowed me to connect with Tati as I saw the story progressing through her eyes. As for the establishing shot, it took place on the stairs which gave a high viewpoint of the garden and outside of the school, it set up the scene perfectly. It evoked a mood of curiosity as I was curious about what was to come next after the scene setting and time were established.

The next classmate I reviewed was Thomson Tang. Thomson's shots were more humorous and fun. His high-angle shot evoked weakness. Although it was a simple shot of Thomson from an upper view, it made him appear smaller and as if he was looking up at someone taller and stronger. His next shot, a POV shot, is very fun. It is him and his friend doing a handshake from Thomson's point of view, the shot evokes a sense of amusement as Thomson and his friend are enjoyable and entertaining to watch.
