Hi there! I did a mood board for the movie Scream. The pictures I picked create an overall mood of a 90s horror film or aesthetic. The Scream movie is eerie and mysterious, with a murder mystery and a masked killer. The photo with the house, reminded me of the main character's house, with a light atmosphere at the start, before everything bad happens. I also picked some pictures of schools that reminded me of a school that takes place in the 90s as the characters are in high school. As the killers in the movie are influenced and learn from horror and killer movies, I added some pictures of movies and books. Also, with the topic of murder, there is a murder that attends the high school and a murder that took place in the school which is why I added a crime scene photo in there. To continue, the killer contacts the victims and characters using a phone, so I added the common phones that people used in the 90s. I also added some cars near forests as it adds to a mysterious and disturbing atmosphere. Furthermore, I added a blood splatter as the movie is rather gory, there are a bunch of stabbing and gruesome deaths. I added a picture of the newspaper because that’s how news spreads about the multiple murders of the high school students, plus it added to the 90’s horror aesthetic. To add on, I added a silhouette of someone holding a knife, because it is a mystery who the killer will be. It adds to the suspense and creepiness of the overall mood board and film. All of these pictures convey a mood of creepiness and mystery, which is also the overall 90’s killer theme I was going for.
