✦.──Brainstorming── .✦


     Hey there! Today Tati and I were brainstorming and coming up with ideas for our final film and we came up with a few ideas that are really entertaining and some that  weren’t as great as an idea… Some of our ideas were good but they were unrealistic and would be very difficult to film with the materials and time we have.

    However, our first idea was a Highschool musical. But Tati and I CANNOT sing. And I mean it. Even with autotune we knew we would sound terrible. Plus I would cringe and my self esteem can't handle singing So that was out of the picture for sure. 

    Our next idea was a Romcom. A romcom is a romance mixed with a comedy, as we looked up examples we really got excited about this idea. We would make Tati and her boyfriend the main characters. But as we looked more into it we realized how much planning and we really didn't know how to start it or what to do with the plot for an opener. So that was a maybe, but more of a maybe not. 
    
    Our next idea was a sleep paralysis film. Earlier that day I had been talking to my friends about their experiences with sleep paralysis. Hearing their stories made me do research on it and it made me really interested. As I told Tati my idea we ranted about what we could do... Then Tati drew a picture of her vision for a story about sleep paralysis and I thought it was a wonderful idea. Sleep paralysis mixed with an upsidedown similar to Stranger Things. 
    
    Another idea we had was something similar to the Scream movie openers as I absolutely LOVEEE the Scream movies. (as I'm writing this I'm wearing a Scream shirt) Tati and I figured we wanted to do something different, so we went in the direction of a horror film. But we realized that the killing of characters plus the fake blood would be too messy plus with the fake blood staining. 
     
    We also had another idea and I thought it was great and interesting. It was about a detective who sees a mysterious letter on their desk and about disappearances. I would love to do this as it would be so cute to edit the film so it is in black and white. It would be so aesthetic.

            Hi! For an assignment, I did a sound story. A sound story is a film that doesn't use visuals and only sounds. This was a very unique process, and different from anything video-related that I have done. My partner and I split the work evenly and I did the foley and editing it, and I did the script.       For our sound story, it was about a soccer game and the process before the game, like getting out of the car and warming up for the game. During the foley process, I realized how loud and chunky I had to be to get the sounds I needed. I chose to make the sounds as I play travel soccer, and I would be able to make the sounds easier as I am experienced in what goes on during a soccer game and how it would and should sound.      It took a lot of work to get the sounds.
