Day 1 of Shooting!


     Hi bloggers! Recently, Tati and I did out first day of shooting our horror film. I was so nervous to record but I had a very fun time and I think our shooting went great. I arrived at Tati's house around 11 am and we started filming. W don't e need to reshoot since I have all the clips needed to start editing. We completed the shots necessary efficiently with the time we were given before Tati had to go to Volleyball practice. However, I do need to record my shower trim turning on and off. I was unable to turn on Tati's shower (which was very embarrassing but hilarious). We ended up making her shower leak somehow and I felt so bad, so I will record that portion at my house!!

     But regardless of that, we don't need to reshoot, I looked through the clips and they were all perfect! The sound in the video was great as there aren't many words in the film. The video and quality in the video is great since Tati and I used our phones to record and we have newer phones. However, half way through the film we needed to record in a dark room and it was difficult to get the recording quality on my phone good and not blurry. We ended up recording on Tati's phone for that portion of the movie since her recording quality was surprisingly good!

    But overall everything went well and our first day of shooting was great! :D

            Hi! For an assignment, I did a sound story. A sound story is a film that doesn't use visuals and only sounds. This was a very unique process, and different from anything video-related that I have done. My partner and I split the work evenly and I did the foley and editing it, and I did the script.       For our sound story, it was about a soccer game and the process before the game, like getting out of the car and warming up for the game. During the foley process, I realized how loud and chunky I had to be to get the sounds I needed. I chose to make the sounds as I play travel soccer, and I would be able to make the sounds easier as I am experienced in what goes on during a soccer game and how it would and should sound.      It took a lot of work to get the sounds.
