Supporting Characters


     Hi bloggers! In my film we only have two characters, the main character and the monster. So in this post I will be talking about the supporting character, the monster!! >:D 

    The monster, which is played by Tati, is the main character's sleep paralysis demon. The monster is tall with a costume. The costume is different shades of gray and black. The fingers are long with a scary face with sharp teeth and deep black eyes. The monster is eerie and shows up in the film when the main character goes to bed. The monster doesn't talk but rather makes creepy noises and scratches at the walls to scare the main character. 

    The monsters mental state is aggression and rage with a lack of remorse. The monster scares the main character throughout the movie, haunting her every night during her sleep. The monster even jump scares the main character!! Because of the main characters depression which leads to stress, anxiety, and sleep deprivation, this leads to her taking depression pills (an important prop and detail) with everything combined this makes her hallucinate and have a sleep paralysis demon. The monster's motivation is just a psychological interpretation of the main character's stress and anxiety due to her hallucinations.

            Hi! For an assignment, I did a sound story. A sound story is a film that doesn't use visuals and only sounds. This was a very unique process, and different from anything video-related that I have done. My partner and I split the work evenly and I did the foley and editing it, and I did the script.       For our sound story, it was about a soccer game and the process before the game, like getting out of the car and warming up for the game. During the foley process, I realized how loud and chunky I had to be to get the sounds I needed. I chose to make the sounds as I play travel soccer, and I would be able to make the sounds easier as I am experienced in what goes on during a soccer game and how it would and should sound.      It took a lot of work to get the sounds.
