The Editing Process...



 Hey bloggers! As you already know I am editing our film. I am using the application, CapCut, a personal favorite of mine because of the simplicity and how easy you can use it. Currently as I am editing, I don't know what effects I am going to use right now. However, I think my film will be better without effects and filters. For the transitions, We use a regular cut for most of transitions so it will seem more smooth. I am half way done of editing and need to add my sounds and the rest of the clips I have filmed on my own time. 

Now for the problems... If you're up to date with the news on 1/19/25, you'd know that TikTok was banned for 12 hours. However, before that I heard a rumor that CapCut was going to be banned alongside TikTok because they have some correlation or come from the same parent company. As I told my mom about this panicking, she told me to not worry and that it wouldn't get banned. Spoiler alert, it got banned. After it got banned I started to panic. Although I do know how to use premiere pro, I rather not because it tests my patience. But my friend sent me another free editing app that's easy to use, so I would have been fine either way. Although, everything was okay in the end since Tiktok got unbanned after 12 hours and CapCut was back.

            Hi! For an assignment, I did a sound story. A sound story is a film that doesn't use visuals and only sounds. This was a very unique process, and different from anything video-related that I have done. My partner and I split the work evenly and I did the foley and editing it, and I did the script.       For our sound story, it was about a soccer game and the process before the game, like getting out of the car and warming up for the game. During the foley process, I realized how loud and chunky I had to be to get the sounds I needed. I chose to make the sounds as I play travel soccer, and I would be able to make the sounds easier as I am experienced in what goes on during a soccer game and how it would and should sound.      It took a lot of work to get the sounds.
