Day 2 of Shooting

     Hi Bloggers! On the second day of shooting, Tati and I did the beginning part of our film opener. I filmed the establishing shot of my house at night. We went back into Tati's house and filmed my night routine and me going to bed. Specifically we filmed me going inside the bathroom, turning on the light, grabbing a towel and going inside the shower. Of course we did not actually film me inside the shower (lol)… I just stepped in and we cut the shot there. We then resumed the shot of me grabbing the towel from the shower and me appearing in my pajamas. This was my whole nightly routine that we filmed in our day 2 of shooting.

    Although this sounded easy there were some challenges First off, I would be laughing the whole time, and I literally could not take myself seriously. Tati and I had a bunch of funny moments (which you will see in the bloopers)… Which made us go off track and goof off. Also another challenge was Tati and I unable to be in the same shot, as Tati and I are only a team of 2. We would take turns recording each other which made the process of recording a little difficult.

            Hi! For an assignment, I did a sound story. A sound story is a film that doesn't use visuals and only sounds. This was a very unique process, and different from anything video-related that I have done. My partner and I split the work evenly and I did the foley and editing it, and I did the script.       For our sound story, it was about a soccer game and the process before the game, like getting out of the car and warming up for the game. During the foley process, I realized how loud and chunky I had to be to get the sounds I needed. I chose to make the sounds as I play travel soccer, and I would be able to make the sounds easier as I am experienced in what goes on during a soccer game and how it would and should sound.      It took a lot of work to get the sounds.
