Title Sequence Credits
Hey Bloggers! After editing for many, many, many, and many hours, I have come to a problem with the title sequence... At first, I had just put my title sequence at the end of the movie opener because it just felt right. But after looking at it more, I realized something was wrong. Realistically, what movie opener shows all the credits after the opener is done? The purpose of the movie opener is to show the credits IN the scene and to establish a bit of plot with a cliffhanger. I thought more of this, so I asked my friends for their insight and help. Luckily, my great friend, Marcus, LOVES movies and gave me some tips that helped out my film!
Although I was nervous about showing Marcus my work, I thought he'd just laugh and cringe. He was very nice about it and could give me tips and explain what looked right and what seemed unnatural. After his tips, I moved the title sequence throughout the film, so the duration lasted the whole movie. After doing this, the film felt more natural and like a movie opener! I am glad Marcus was able to help me because I really am happy with the final product of my film now, thanks to the help of my friend's criticism. I also asked my sister if she thought my film was good. She said it was great and it was even better than her film!
